Save the Children, D.R. (2019 - Today)
In 2019 we published what will be the first of a series of eBooks. 1 USD from every book sold is donated to Save the Children, Dominican Republic, to support their literacy work in some of the poorest communities in the Dominican Republic.
Due to the 2020 Pandemic, we started donating 100% of the eBooks sold from January until the end of the official curfew order in the DR to help with their emergency program to feed and supply basic items to affected Dominican families.

Natural Resources Defense Council (2017 - Today)
As of Jan 2021, we have donated US$1225 to the Natural Resources Defense Council, a non-profit international environmental advocacy group to support their conservation work and climate change campaigning.

Ann and Ted Kheel Polytechnic in Verón (2011)
In 2011 the Ann and Ted Kheel Polytechnic in Verón honored us by accepting our donation of boxes of brand-new books to its library.
The polytechnic is the only high school in the small town of Verón. It was built by the PuntaCana Foundation and is supported by the foundation and private donations.
As well as providing a high school education for local students, it also provides them with technical skills that will enable them to make a living even if they don’t go on to university, in areas like computer science, hostelry, electricity, plumbing, refrigeration, and English.
Reading is something that is very close to our hearts, and this is one of the best ways we thought we could contribute to these talented young people.

Plan - Child Development in Rural Communities (2007 - 2011)
An exciting part of our work here at DominicanCooking.com and CocinaDominicana.com is our partnership (archived article) with an international development agency called Plan. Some of you may already be familiar with this organization, which works with children and young people in 49 countries all over the world.
What we did since September 2007, was to donate a small sum to Plan International for each of Aunt Clara's Dominican Cookbook sold, as well as providing information about Plan and its work to our readers.
By 2011 we had ourselves donated over US$1500 thanks to our amazing readers. Through their work with families in these poor communities, Plan is helping to transform children’s health and future prospects.
In the Dominican Republic, Plan works in the poorest parts of the country – the rural southwest. One of their areas of work is to improve the nutritional levels of babies and toddlers, a subject very close to us Aunties’ hearts, so we thought we would, in a small way, offer our support for Plan’s work in this area.
