    Dominican and Latino Keto Recipes

Keto, ketogenic, very low-carb, or LCHF has become one of the most popular dietary lifestyles nowadays. While many consider it a restrictive diet, this doesn't have to be this way.

Our Latino & Dominican Keto Recipes:

    • Keto Advantage, Latin Flavor

There are already many traditional Dominican and Latino recipes fit for the Keto lifestyle. You can find these, as well as some of the keto recipes I’ve created that will be a hit at your table, whether the rest of the guests eat keto or not.

    • Are all these recipes keto?

Most are, some need a few changes to adapt them to the keto lifestyle. You'll find the changes needed in the recipe notes. Some of the recipes are pictured accompanied by foods that are decidedly not keto-friendly (like rice, plantains, and tubers), in those cases you will need to find keto-friendly alternative side dishes.

    • Keto and healthy fats

In some of these recipes vegetable oils are used because these are traditionally used in Dominican and Latino cuisine. You may substitute them for ghee, coconut oil, avocado oil, olive oil, butter or lard, depending on the cooking method. Ghee and lard are preferred for frying at high temperatures, coconut and avocado oil for medium-high temperatures, the rest are best for low temperature cooking, or raw.
